Software and User Interfaces

Touché is the paramount in integrated and intuitive solutions.  Competitor’s systems use complicated programming procedures to setup and maintain their systems.  Additionally, they typically require offline procedures to perform programming tasks.  What does this mean?  When a new program is developed or an existing program is modified the user must take the system offline and download the new application.  After downloading the application they are then able to “check” the results of their modification through field testing.  If a subsequent change is required the sequence is repeated.  Touché has developed an online solution.  All changes are applied immediately without downloading procedures.  This greatly reduces the amount of time required to implement a new program or change of an existing.  Additionally, other devices in the system continue functioning normally.

Touché has taken this process one step further.  All programming procedures utilize the latest in drag and drop technology and graphical user interfacing.  Complicated step by step procedures are not required.  An intuitive icon based programming structure is the core to Touché’s programming software.  Point and click, drag and drop – it really is that simple.

Touché brings the power of our programming applications to the user in two packages.  The first application is our Building Management Graphical User Interface (S-GUI).  This application resides on the building management server and is responsible for all interfacing with the building management database and service application, also residing on the server.

A second application is provided that allows the user to “tunnel-in” to the building management server from any client computer in their Ethernet network.  This application, the Building Management Client Smart Setup and Programming (C-SSP) application, uses standard windows security privileges to allow clients (maintenance staff workstations for example) the ability to program and control the system from
their workstation.

All of this functionality is included with the purchase of our Building Management Server.  Users may even duplicate the C-SSP application for installation on as many computers as required in their facility without added cost.

Some applications require custom solutions.  Facilities like stadiums and lecture halls present challenging demands for interfacing solutions.  Touché has developed a software solution that fulfills this need.  Touché’s Custom Graphical User Interface (CGUI) is a software package that provides the customer the next level in control for their facility.  Our engineers will work with your team to develop the custom application that exceeds even your most demanding needs.

Since our system is Ethernet based, we are able to do things that competitors are simply unable to do.  Providing custom applications that can run on our Touch-Screen User Interface (TSUI – click here to learn more about this hardware interface) or on a standard laptop computer is what helps define this solution in the market.  We are able to incorporate interfacing options with industry standard applications like Microsoft Office® to provide a level of flexibility unseen in building management systems to date.

The possibilities are truly endless.  Contact us to learn how we can help provide you the level of control, integration, and interfacing that you have been looking for a cost much less than you are expecting.

The engineers in this division of Touché like to say: If you can dream it, we can control it.  Let us help you make your dreams a reality.

By utilizing Ethernet as Touché’s high level communication platform we are able to provide unique and cost effective solutions for nearly every application. One such example includes our Touch-Screen User Interface (TSUI). Touché has partnered with top computer manufacturers to provide simple interface solutions for complex problems. Our TSUI is a 23” flat panel touch screen computer that includes all of the required software applications (preloaded and configured) for interaction with Touché’s system. A simple wired or wireless Ethernet connection is all that is required for connection of this interface with the entire Touché system.

The user is able to use the computer as a point of interface with their system. Control of lighting levels, window blind position, even audio/video controls are a press of a button on the touch-screen. Combination controls allow the user to press a button and control multiple events – i.e. close the window blinds, turn on the large screen monitor, set the volume to 30%, dim the lights and start a power point presentation.

Template applications are available for utilizing this interface in standard arrangements; for example, conference rooms or lectures halls. Other more sophisticated solutions provide simple control over complex platforms like “centralized building monitoring and control stations”. The possibilities are truly endless all at a cost much less than you would expect.
