Building Owners and Maintenance Staff

Fortunately this system is very robust, simple to use and is able to self monitor its health.  Still a support system must be in place to help maintenance staff and building owners with setup procedures and programming issues.  Touché provides three areas of support that will address any issues that may arise from an ownership and maintenance perspective:
 

	Integrated Video Clips for Each Step of the Process  Short (2 min or less) video clips are included on the Building Management Server that show each step of the programming process.  As an example the user may want to add a switch to the system.  The video clips that are integrated into the software allow the maintenance staff  to see how to add that switch – step by step.  All of the video clips are categorized and grouped by task so he/she would only need to view the portion that they need a refresher on.
	Free Technical Support for the Life of the Product The staff at Touché is so confident in the performance and simplicity of this system that we provide free technical support for the life of the product.  No need to worry about support contracts or maintenance services.  Also remember the system is able to log and report its own health.  This information can automatically be forwarded through the internet to Touché’s central office for review by engineers and the tech support staff.  This greatly simplifies the troubleshooting tasks when things just don’t work as planned.
	“Direct Connect” Active Tech Support Touché’s system is centrally controlled by a server style computer.  Assuming this computer has internet access and with the owner’s permission, the tech support staff at Touché is be able to take control of the system from our central office through the internet.  This will allow our technicians to make changes directly to your system.  The maintenance staff  will be able to view what we are doing on their monitor as we make the changes, essentially training them on a function from anywhere in the country.

Electrical Contractors

For contractors time is money.   The roots of Touché began in electrical contracting so we understand the challenges that face contractors today.  Contractors and installers are most concerned with the cost of the product and the cost to install the product.  That is the check and balance for the construction industry.  For the contractors Touché has developed a system that is modular, simple to install and simple to setup – the result, lower equipment and installation costs.  
 

Simple Wiring & Programming Topology   The engineers at Touché have designed this system to be the most cost effective solution possible in terms of wiring techniques (i.e. daisy chained, multi-drop, low voltage wiring scheme).  Standard features like automatic addressing of the devices and drag-and-drop technology in the software greatly simplifying the setup process.  All of the equipment is connected through the master interfaces using standard Ethernet networking architecture. This undoubtedly reduces installation costs.  From a technical support perspective - using this wiring technique in conjunction with the user interface software that is installed on the server Touche’s tech support staff can directly connect in to the server from our home office and “view” exactly what is going on in the system.  The system will even tell us how the components are wired and what state each component is in.

Factory Available Startup Services Although this system is by far the simplest system in the world to set up, we offer (for a fee) onsite factory startup services from a factory technician.  Touché has highly trained individuals that are all licensed electricians on staff to perform these duties.  They approach installation issues from the same prospective that your field staff will.  They are all very helpful and personable and are here to make the installation and implementation simple for the contractor.  If this service is requested, a technician will be assigned to your project from the beginning and will be there to answer any questions that arise – even prior to the on-site startup services.  You will deal with one individual from start to finish.

Architects/Engineers

The demands and expectations on architect and engineers today to perform efficiently and effectively are greater than they ever have been.  The engineers at Touché have developed several tools to aid these designers to do their jobs quickly and accurately.  Touché provides three specific services: software design tools, free factory design services, and online data sheets and specifications to aid these professionals with their lighting control needs.
 

	Software Design Tools  Touché has developed design tools that can be directly integrated into CAD software that will allow your engineers to properly place sensors and components throughout their drawings.  As an example the ambient/occupancy sensors have a certain radius of coverage for different mounting heights.  Touché has developed the CAD symbols complete with variable ID’s and descriptions to be used in your drawings.  Simply copy the symbol and paste it into your drawing.  The symbols come complete with spacing rings that show the proper spacing based on mounting height.  The spacing rings are layered so that you can turn off the visual aspects of the rings on the drawings so that the rings do not appear on your final drawings.
	Factory Design Services  Touché has a team of engineers that will provide complete design services for proper installation of the product throughout a new design.  We will simply require a CAD floor plan of the space complete with the lighting layout you intend to use.  From this we will layout the entire lighting control system and provide a bill of material.  This is provided as a free service to design professionals registered with Touché (registration is free too).
