Multi-Function Interface

  • Multi-Function Interfaces are designed to perform more than one function.  They are available in two configurations:
    • MFI-16-CM: 16 Point Control
      Module Interface
    • MFI-8/8-DIO: 8 Point Digital Input / 8 Point Digital Output Interface
  • In the Control Module configuration the installer is able to connect up to (16) Local Relay Modules (LRM).  This allows the user to install various points of control near the controlled load.  This greatly reduces installation costs for retro-fit applications.  See Local Relay Modules for more information regarding the flexibility of these modules.
  • In the Digital Input/Output configuration the installer is able to connect up to (8) Digital Input Points and (8) Digital Output points per interface.  Each input point accepts a dry set of contacts as an input and each output point provides both a normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) set of contacts.  This configuration allows the user a simple and cost effective solution for integration with third party devices that require/provide on/off control.
  • Multi-Function Interfaces provide the installer and maintenance staff device descriptions for each connected device.  Additionally, status and control for each of the connected devices is available locally at the Input Interface to simplify setup and testing of the connected devices.
  • The user defined descriptions are displayed on the local LCD Touch-Screen display of the Multi-Function Interface from entries made at the Building Management Server.  Updates to these descriptions are seamless and automatic.
